Sideyard Progress

After a busy weekend, we finally got a chance to do some (not a lot), but some work on the sideyard. We have been trying to make this a city patio, with charm and warmth. We have a lot of work to go, including finishing staining the fence (which is obvious in the pictures) but we like where it is headed. We will hopefully have time (and non-rainy) weather to finish this week.

Roses from Grandma & The Cutest Book Ever

My grandma gave me the most beautiful roses for my birthday. It was so sweet. She knows I love flowers, and especially roses. My parents, knowing my love of champagne bought me this "Tiny Bubbles" book. It is so adorable and has some great champagne cocktail recipes!

Birthday Celebration

Yesterday was a great day! Brandon surprised me with reservations for brunch at Duo Restaurant. Then he took me out to a surprise dinner at Beatrice & Woodsley, which is seriously one of the coolest restaurants I have ever been to. I had a cocktail called "Tiptoe Through the Tulips" that was infused with lavender, and it was unbelievable. Another cocktail there was called Tea Thyme. Who knew you could have a cocktail infused with Earl Grey Tea??? Amazing. If you live in Denver and have not been there, GO! Today, we are headed up to have brunch with my dad for father's day. 27th Birthday!

I have had a really exciting birthday so far! (Although my family and husband are so great that it isn't over yet and my birthday celebration goes through Saturday evening). Brandon had Peonies delivered to my office from Martha Stewart Flowers that look just like the photo on the link. When I got home from work we went to a restaurant called NORTH in Denver. It was so sweet, he had made surprise reservations that I didn't know about until late yesterday. We have reservations at another surprise restaurant on Saturday night. Tonight, my family is taking me to P.F. Chang's...yummy! When I got home from work, my husband had also made a special stop to Happy Cakes cupcake shop and brought home these beautiful cupcakes! He had them perfectly arranged on a platter when I arrived home! So sweet. He also wants to get me a basket for my Bike, so he gave me a photo (and is taking me to pick one out this weekend). Also, he changed the note from the dog walker to read as it does above :) SO CUTE.
