7 Month Picture

We finally got our act together and got Hudson's 7 month old photo taken (we missed months 5 and 6) :). Love this guy! As you can see, he is quite busy :)

7 months!

Hudson is 7 months old! I can't even believe it. He is doing so great-eating 3 meals of solids per day. His menu currently includes carrots, peas, squash (winter and butternut), sweet potatoes (favorite), apples, pears, oatmeal. He eats oatmeal for breakfast and a fruit or vegetable for lunch and a vegetable for dinner. :) He has recently enjoyed my combos of squash mixed with apples. Today, we will try bananas. I am excited! I love watching him try new foods. He is trying to crawl, is very very busy and VERY happy. We are so lucky. He is a real joy. Favorite toys include books, his new glowworm from Grandma and Grandpa, his frog from Ikea, and blocks (thanks Tim and Amanda!). He LOVES the wonderful Christmas books that his friends Erin, Will & Colin sent him. We are getting so excited for Christmas-opening presents has been a favorite for him so far (yes we have cheated and opened gifts early)-he laughs so loud when he rips the paper. The nanny share is working out amazingly and we are so lucky to have Rebecca in Hudson's life-she is a real treasure. Our little guy LOVES Christmas lights-he is mesmerized by them and Mr. B made our house beautiful for Christmas this year-I will post pics soon. Hope everyone is well. Our weekend

We had a great weekend-Grandma and Grandpa came to our house and brought Hudson lots of Christmas gifts...he got to open a couple of them. He LOVES opening gifts and literally laughed the entire time. We did some Christmas shopping, organizing, grocery shopping etc. We went to a wonderful deli last night and had latkes. Hudson was a big boy and ate his dinner sitting in a highchair! What a big boy! Here are some pics.

Putting up my first tree...and my thanksgiving art project

Here are some pics of me helping mom and dad put up our Christmas tree this weekend. Yes, I know we are those weird people with a tree up, but I keep mom and dad pretty busy and next weekend will be outdoor lights. There are also some pics of my first art project-isn't my nanny creative-I loved fingerpainting!

Hudson has loved apples, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, carrots and squash so far. :) Here are some pics of Hudson eating solids :) And the bubble bath that followed tonight... and yes that is our Christmas tree in the background...we put it up this evening.

The Holidays are a Coming!

We are so excited for the holidays this year with our little guy!!! We are starting to prepare (Christmas bedding all washed and ready to go for his crib, getting Christmas ornaments to decorate his own little white Christmas tree for his room, and Christmas books to make our little guy's holidays memorable). I have also become obsessed with baby Christmas PJs. :) Nothing cuter than a baby in footie PJs. We have found some cute books including "In my Forest" and"Snowmen at Night" which tells the tale of what Snowmen do while all the little ones are sleeping (for those of you who don't know, they have snowball fights and drink hot chocolate). We also bought a copy of "Winter in White" by Sabuda-beautiful! Hudson will also learn about Thanksgiving from his new Happy Thanksgiving Curious George book (so cute). However, I am looking for a special, well illustrated (warm beautiful illustrations) Twas the Night Before Christmas book-anybody have any good recommendations?

Halloween Weekend!

We had a great time. Hudson and I went to Houston, TX from friday through sunday. We had a great time at Cousin Briley's 5th B-day Bash! Here are some pics. My little astronaut was very happy and excited all weekend! We went trick or treating tonight and it went really well-we did two streets! :) Hudson loved gumming the candy (while it was still in the wrapper).

Update on our Little Guy

Hudson is growing sooo big! He is trying to crawl, very good at holding his head up when he is on his tummy, has pretty much full head control, and is starting to want to grab and play with everything. He is such a little doll. We went to Philadelphia and he was perfect on both 4 hour flights! We were so proud. He is getting excited for his first Halloween, and is all ready. Our little guy is going to be an astronaut for Halloween! Hudson even had baby food this week! I made some homemade baby food applesauce with some wonderful Farmers Market Jonathan apples. He LOVED it. I am pretty sure he thought it was the best thing that has ever happened to him! He is doing very well with the applesauce and has had it everyday this week. The nanny share has been going fantastically...we are really enjoying it and Hudson and Ben are becoming great friends-they even laugh at each other! :) We are so happy it is working out.

Update

I promise to get you guys some good pics soon. Meanwhile-here are a few from this weekend that I took on my phone. We bought Hudson the 3-stage training cup from Williams Sonoma-hoping to gradually switch him to a sippy in the next few months. It is going great (we give him some breast milk in the sippy with the nipple about once a day). Hudson is also getting so big!! He loves the exersaucer we are borrowing from Grandma. He is also starting to love bath time!
