Summer!

So excited it is summer! We love summer around here!
I won my trial. It was a hard fought case and really worked out well, so I am super relieved. Now, my next trial is July 22 (four weeks away exactly) and we are getting ready to go on that one. No rest for the weary. On the home front, we will use the weekend to get some stuff done in the yard and we have date night tonight for my birthday!! Super excited. I also have a surprise prenatal massage and pedicure tonight as well! Thanks B!

In the meantime, you can find us lounging in the backyard :) I swear we eat every meal out there. Pics of patio furniture to come soon! And vacation to Charleston South Carolina for a whole week in seven days! Woohoo! Looking forward to some time with my boys and Brandon's family too. :)

Only 130 days to go!!!

I can't believe I only have 130 days to go until we meet Baby Albano #2. I couldn't be more excited. I am excited to meet you, baby. I am excited to find out if you are a boy or a girl. I am excited to have three months home with you and your big brother H-man to focus on our little family during all the fun holidays. I need to get started on your nursery. I am hoping next weekend! In the meantime, this would make an adorable color scheme :

Soccer and a Lawn Mower

 Hudson has been loving his soccer class-the Cottontails! We need to find another sport to get him in because he already LOVES sports. Daddy is happy about that!

 He also loves mowing the lawn :) While I prepped for trial from the office, daddy took him to get his own mower and he pretended to mow all day. Thankfully-they will REALLY mow today :)

My trial should be done wednesday and I only have a quick morning appt on thursday. I will take the rest of the day off. We have date night for my birthday (I am in trial on my birthday) on saturday at Beatrice & Woodsley (Thanks Ellen for the gift card) and will celebrate my wonderful father with a BBQ on saturday! Happy Father's day to all! Brandon only had one request-an Ice Cream Cake! Done.

Life...

So lately life has been a bit chaotic in the Albano House as I have been working a ton. I am looking forward to vacation in two weeks in Charleston!! Hudson is getting so big and is now in soccer on Thursdays and Saturdays. I am starting pre-natal yoga on Wednesday and am excited about that. I have come to the realization that we have no time to paint the rooms in our home, so am looking into hiring painters so we can start on the nursery! I feel way behind. I have trial next week and then another big trial July 22 (two weeks long eeek). Following that, I have trial August 12 and Hudson starts pre-school August 12 as well! Should make for a chaotic week. Life is just crazy. I did get nominated to serve on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. It was quite the honor, and although I have absolutely no time to commit to anything else, I figure why pass it up-so I'm going for it.

Looking forward to quiet time in October, November, December, January to just hang out with my kiddos! We are getting very excited about baby!

Well, better get back to work. Sigh...

Playing Catch-up

We are playing a game of catch up on the Albano Family blog, as I have been so ill for a month and am FINALLY (fingers crossed) turning a corner. Let's hope, because I have a trial coming up in a week and really need a full voice :)

What has been going on? Hudson was registered and we are locked in for him to start full time school at a local Montessori school on August 12. He says he is excited! We will see how the transition goes :)  We have found a new nanny (we think) to watch the new baby starting March 1st. We will iron out all the details soon.

We finally ordered new patio furniture and that is supposed to show up tmrw. Will show pictures when it is here and all set up. We are excited about this!! We have REALLY been enjoying the patio and especially the fire pit. Hudson has become very familiar with S'mores :)

The baby is growing nicely and we have the gender in an envelope in our home. It has been very tempting to open it!

My sister and mom are driving to CO from TX starting today, and we cannot wait to have them with my nieces here next week! So excited about that. Bummer it is a week before I have a darn trial, but hey, not going to let a trial stand in the way of a decently fun week.

We are loving the warmer temps and summer weather. Also excited construction on the house next door will start soon. As big of a pain as that will be, hoping to have it wrapped up by the time Baby Albano #2 arrives :)

Now onto nursery planning, I have stalled out and have no idea what to do in there. Hoping some inspiration will show up soon!

Memorial Day at Grandma & Grandpa's

We went to my parents' house for a BBQ on Memorial day and spent the lovely day with my parents and Grandma. Hudson had a great time hiking/ carrying around daddy's bow on Grandma & Grandpa's land up in the mountains. Notice his collection of necklaces that Grandma & Grandpa collected for him in NOLA. :)
