Things to get done...

I have so many things to get done. I am trying to organize organize organize while I don't have a house to keep up with and maintain. On the list:
1. Pick out a lantern for above the front entryway-e-mail to builder.
2. Finish thank you notes
3. Organize paperwork into a filing system (we were awesome about this before we had kids-then, it fell by the wayside)
4. Buy more basil for the patio-plant it.
5. Pick out/ buy curtains for the downstairs of our new house (need to have these ready for when we move in to provide some privacy).
6. Get all lighting purchased for parlor, kitchen, sconces for hallway.
7. Buy ceiling fans.
8. Pick out cabinets for laundry room.
9. Come up with recipe for Girl's night.
10. Buy items to make pistachio apple brussel sprouts for dinner.
11. LAUNDRY!!
12. CLEAN THE LOFT!!

Kitchen Ideas

Here are kitchen ideas for the new house. Not sure we will be able to do anything so extravagant, but I LOVE these kitchens. We are planning on doing white, with black counters, and some type of a stainless hood. We have some rough ins going in to do some cool light fixture over the sink (I am thinking chandelier), and I really love the light blue paint color in the third picture. We are also doing subway tile backsplash.

Wonderful 30th Birthday

Brandon made sure my 30th was amazing, with help from my mom, Rebecca, and many other wonderful friends and family. He threw an amazing surprise party at Beatrice and Woodsley, with a cake that was to die for (two tiered, fondant, pearls, and designed to be the color of the house we are building) (he knew I would appreciate that sort of thing). He made surprise manicure and pedicure arrangements with champagne to accompany at Sweet Life Nail Bar and he even made a surprise 90 minute hot rock massage appt for yesterday AND took the day off to hang out with me. What a lucky girl I am! As I enter my 30s, I feel so fortunate to have my little family and such wonderful friends and family. Here is a pic of Beatrice and Woodsley, it is sooo pretty.

Father's Day

Since Brandon doesn't read this blog, I can talk freely about his father's day gift (which I am super excited about). Since I have known Brandon, he has loved Weathervanes. We are finally building a house that I think would accommodate a weathervane quite nicely. So-I snatched the opportunity of father's day and one is on it's way. See below. I am stoked and hope he loves it. It is solid copper and will age nicely. Straight from Cape Cod-how could I go wrong?

Soccer

We have finished soccer for the spring! Hudson had a great time. Not much new here-just enjoying the summer!
