What we have been up to...

Things have been quite busy around here-we have been busily trying to keep up with life. Hudson is keeping us pretty busy, as is work for both Brandon and I. Trying to keep the work-life balance while rearing a toddler and keeping up with two demanding careers takes up most of our time. In the meantime, we have been enjoying our little guy and his every growing vocabulary and maturity. Hudson is SUCH a doll-so good-mannered and sweet. He LOVES to give hugs and kisses and LOVES us, his dog "Minny" and T-rex Dinosaurs :). Little boys are SUCH a gift from above. I am head over heels in love with mine.

Yeehaw Cowboy!

We spent all day yesterday at the Livestock Show and Rodeo. H loves Woody from Toy Story, and loves horses and cowboys more than life, so he had a ball! He even got his own "Woody Boots." He was precious and I must say, there is nothing cuter than an almost two year old in cowboy boots. :) Oh, except maybe the teeny tiny pig in the attached photos-I almost stole him...oh and H was so excited, he fell asleep right before we left. Mommy and Daddy had a peaceful wonderful BBQ lunch while H slept soundly in his new "Doots."

Our Weekend

It has been 60+ in Denver this weekend, and since it will snow tmrw, we are taking full advantage. We spent yesterday hanging out as a family and enjoying the temps. Grandma and Grandpa came over to watch the disappointing Bronco game. H loves having them over and showed off accordingly. Today, we have breakfast with great friends up in Louisville and will enjoy the weather. :) The day will be spent at the park and riding around the neighborhood with H in the wagon. Thank goodness it is going to be 60 this weekend, because I am sick of snow! Looking forward to seeing this in a few months.

I just love Spring, and even though it is months away, I am in full Spring swing :) What do I think of when I think of Spring?

Spring Organization/ Cleaning. Here is to getting organized in 2012! I am slowly re-organizing my closets, life, basement, drawers, etc. :) Yay for Spring Cleaning!

Booster Seat?

Looking at booster seats, as I think we will be heading out of the high chair soon. Here is one in particular that I am looking at. Does anyone have any comments and/or suggestions? We have started using plates, bowls, etc. and Hudson is adjusting nicely. I am thinking as soon as we are 100% into plates and bowls, I will move him from the highchair, to the table with us.

Devil's Thumb Ranch

We went to Devil's Thumb Ranch up in Tabernash, CO for a sleigh ride and dinner. Here are a couple of pictures. It was gorgeous!

Casa Bonita!

Hudson has had an exciting week with family in town. We went to Casa Bonita and it is safe to say that H loves it as much as I did when I was little. Here are some pics! He was worn out afterward.

2011

2011 was a great year. We saw our baby boy go from baby to little boy. We saw him grow interests, dislikes, and likes (Nemo and Toy Story to be specific). We saw him start to like trucks, bikes, and all things little boy. We did some work on our house, including some new wood floors upstairs, new shutters, new fixtures in the kitchen. We dreamed big, I changed jobs, I accomplished some things I had always wanted to accomplish, including conducting a full five day trial alone. I feel like I helped people, and I am happy with that. In the meantime, I juggled parenthood, and so far so good I think :) He seems happy and he has learned SO MUCH, including almost all of his letters, colors, shapes, and animals. We made good decisions, we moved forward. But 2012-this is going to be a great year. There are so many things we want to accomplish and I am excited! Thank you 2011 for keeping us healthy, and happy, and letting our boy learn so much. :) 2012-we are so excited for you!
